Visa Seeks Experienced Blockchain Engineers on Ethereum and Bitcoin.
Visa , the payments giant , is looking for blockchain engineers according to the latest job posting. Fortune 500, which accounts for 53 percent of all credit card transactions, has several open positions in Austin (Texas) and Foster City (California).
Qualifications in Wanted Positions
The job description states that Visa hires someone with strong expertise, especially Ethereum and its blockchain architecture:
‘We are looking for a strong developer experienced with Ethereum and blockchain architecture to be part of the team tasked with creating distributed applications.’This means that a developer (on C ++ or Java) must be well knowledgeable in the Solidity programming language used to create smart contracts.
Ideal candidates will be those working with Bitcoin , Ripple and the corporate blockchain platform R3.Visa’s new hiring responsibilities will include leading “unique” blockchain initiatives, coding and tracking new technologies.
Visa has been hiring blockchain engineers for the fintech division for years.The company launched B2B Connect, a blockchain-powered payment system last June. The service, which was first announced in 2016, allows Visa’s corporate customers to make instant and intermediary cross-border transfers.In November 2019, Visa also received a patent explaining the creation of the digital fiat currency.
