Tokenized Amazon, Tesla, Apple Shares Can Be Purchased From This Bitcoin Exchange.
Bittrex, one of the largest and oldest cryptocurrency exchanges; Started trading tokenized stocks through its subsidiary Bittrex Global. The company says :
“Tokenized stocks are tokenized derivatives that represent traditional securities, particularly shares of public companies traded on regulated exchanges such as Tesla, Apple and Facebook.
Tokenized stocks are the tokenization of a digital total return exchange contract (TRS). The tokenized stock value is based on and collateralized by the representation of the underlying asset as a digital asset, a traditional security. The value of the digital asset is determined by the value of the traditional stock. For example, they are collateralized by an equivalent notional amount of conventional securities. This allows tokenized stocks to reflect the economic performance of current traditional securities.
Tokenized Stocks can represent a variety of traditional securities or indices, as well as traditional securities and cryptocurrencies (for example, S&P 500 and BTC ). Leverage can also be used in Tokenized Stocks; long or short positions can be opened. “
According to a report in TrustNodes, the custodian is CM-Equity, which is said to be a licensed financial institution that is fully regulated in Germany and is allowed to offer these products.Bittrex Global itself is licensed in Bermuda and Bittrex’s domain operates in the United States.
Not yet available in Europe
But Europeans are currently unable to buy these stocks on Bittrex Global, which makes them trade a lot more stocks than a real tokenized stock. However, the exchange says that tokens may be withdrawn in the future and Europeans may participate in this trade in the future. They offer Alibaba, Pfizer, BioNTech, S & P500 ETF, Google, and much more so that they can be purchased as part of the stock rather than as a whole as is required on traditional exchanges.
